Apple-Raspberry Crisps
Ingredients:
- 6 medium-sized Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup butter, chilled and cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F/190°C.
- In a large bowl, mix together chopped apples, raspberries, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Transfer mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix together flour, rolled oats, and brown sugar. Cut in butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle crumb mixture over the fruit in the baking dish.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Serving suggestions:
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top for an extra special treat.
