Chinese Nougat with Peanuts and Sesame Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup honey
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 egg white, whipped until stiff peaks form
- 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds, toasted
Directions:
- Grease a 8 inch square pan with butter or cooking spray, set aside.
- In a large saucepan, mix honey, sugar, corn syrup and water over medium heat. Stir constantly until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to boil.
- Attach a candy thermometer to the saucepan and cook mixture until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage). Remove from heat immediately.

- Add peanuts and sesame seeds, mix well.
- Pour mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
- Allow to cool at room temperature until hardened.
- Remove from the pan and cut into desired shapes, serve and enjoy!
