Mac and Cheese au Gratin Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 cups whole milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F
- Cook the macaroni in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a separate pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
