Raspberry Trifles Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 pound pound cake, cut into small cubes

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine raspberries, granulated sugar, and orange juice over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture comes to a boil and thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  3. To assemble the trifles, spoon a layer of raspberry sauce into the bottom of each serving glass. Add a layer of pound cake cubes, followed by a layer of whipped cream. Repeat layers until glass is full, ending with a layer of whipped cream.
