Salmon teriyaki – Delicious

Salmon Teriyaki Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz.) skin-on salmon fillets
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons sake
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Rinse the salmon fillets and pat them dry. Set aside.
  3. Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin and sake in a small bowl. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and ginger, and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce mixture and bring to a simmer. Cook until the sauce thickens and reduces, about 5 minutes.
  6. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Spoon the teriyaki sauce over the salmon.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through. The internal temperature of the salmon should be at least 145°F.
  8. Remove from the oven and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
  9. Serve the salmon teriyaki hot over rice, with a side of steamed vegetables.

Verdict:

This salmon teriyaki recipe combines the sweetness of brown sugar, the umami flavor of soy sauce, and the savory taste of salmon. It’s a delicious and healthy meal that is easy to make and perfect for busy weeknights.
