Stir-fried Beef with Lemongrass

Ingredients:

  • 500g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 stalks lemongrass, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Marinate beef with 1 tbsp of vegetable oil, 1 tsp of cornstarch and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a wok or a large frying pan over high heat. Add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil.
  3. Saute garlic and onion until fragrant, then add lemongrass.
  4. Add beef and stir-fry for approximately 3 minutes or until beef is cooked through.
  5. Add bell peppers and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Remove from heat and serve with steamed rice or noodles.
