Ingredients:

  • 4 burger buns
  • 2 medium-sized tomatoes
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 beef patties
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for cooking

Instructions:

  1. Cut the tomatoes into slices and set aside.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add vegetable oil.
  3. Season the beef patties with salt and pepper and place them on the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  4. While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard together to make the sauce.
  6. Once the patties are done, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cover the skillet and let the cheese melt for 1-2 minutes.
  7. On the bottom half of each bun, spread the sauce, then add a lettuce leaf, tomato slices, and onion slices.
  8. Place the beef patty with the melted cheese on top of the veggies and top with the other half of the bun.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!

Verdict:

The tomato burger is a delicious twist on the classic cheeseburger. The juicy tomatoes and crispy lettuce add freshness to the savory beef patty, while the sauce gives it a tangy kick. The melted cheddar cheese ties everything together perfectly.
