Almond Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp almond extract/li>
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds/li>

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F/175°C. Grease an 8-inch cake pan and dust it with flour.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs to the butter-sugar mixture, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Add milk and almond extract and mix until combined.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, a little at a time, and mix until just combined.
  7. Fold in the sliced almonds.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the cake cool completely before serving.
