Andouillette Gratin Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 andouillettes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated gruyere cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375F.
  2. Remove the casing from the andouillettes and slice each one into rounds.
  3. Arrange the andouillette slices in a single layer in a greased baking dish.
  4. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  5. Add the all-purpose flour and whisk until the mixture is smooth.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and whisk until the mixture thickens.
  7. Add the gruyere cheese and dijon mustard to the saucepan and stir until the cheese is melted.
  8. Season the cheese sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Pour the cheese sauce over the andouillettes in the baking dish.
  10. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the sauce is bubbling.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the andouillette gratin hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley or thyme. This dish pairs well with a simple green salad or steamed vegetables on the side. Enjoy as a comforting and hearty meal on a cold evening.
