Apple, Honey and Cinnamon Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 6 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2 pie crusts

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the honey and cinnamon. Mix well.
  3. Add the sliced apples to the bowl and toss to coat the apples with the honey-cinnamon mixture. Set aside.
  4. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  5. Add the brown sugar and stir until dissolved.
  6. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir until well combined.
  7. Add the apple mixture to the pan and stir until the apples are coated with the brown sugar mixture.
  8. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.
  9. Roll out one of the pie crusts and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.

  11. Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the top of the filling.
  12. Crimp the edges of the pie to seal it.
  13. Using a sharp knife, cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  14. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  15. Remove from oven and let cool for at least 20 minutes before serving.
