Ingredients:

  • 3 medium apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 2 medium quinces, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1 cup dried apricots, chopped
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the sliced apples, quinces, dried apricots, brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well until all the fruit is well coated with the sugar mixture.
  3. Transfer the fruit mixture to a 9-inch baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, melted butter and salt. Mix well until the mixture resembles coarse sand. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the fruit mixture in the baking dish.
  5. Bake the crumble for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the fruit mixture is bubbly.
  6. Let the crumble cool for 10 minutes before serving.
