Baccarat – Regal Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound Beef
- 1/2 tablespoon Salt
- 1/2 tablespoon Black Pepper
- 1 cup Beef Broth (low sodium)
- 1/2 cup Red Wine
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 4 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon Flour
- 1 tablespoon Tomato Paste
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried Thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried Rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Season the beef with salt and black pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 6 to 8 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
- Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Add the onion and garlic. Sauté for about 5 minutes or until the onion is translucent.
- Add the flour, tomato paste, bay leaf, thyme, rosemary, oregano, and cayenne pepper. Stir for one minute.
- Add the beef broth, red wine, and heavy cream. Stir until everything is combined. Bring to a simmer.
- Transfer everything to an oven-safe casserole dish. Add the beef.
- Bake for 45 minutes. Serve warm.
