Baccarat – Regal Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Beef
  • 1/2 tablespoon Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Beef Broth (low sodium)
  • 1/2 cup Red Wine
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 4 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Season the beef with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 6 to 8 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
  4. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Add the onion and garlic. Sauté for about 5 minutes or until the onion is translucent.
  5. Add the flour, tomato paste, bay leaf, thyme, rosemary, oregano, and cayenne pepper. Stir for one minute.
  6. Add the beef broth, red wine, and heavy cream. Stir until everything is combined. Bring to a simmer.
  7. Transfer everything to an oven-safe casserole dish. Add the beef.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes. Serve warm.
