Beef Sautéed with Peppers and Sesame Seeds
Ingredients:
- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced thinly
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced thinly
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon white wine
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds, toasted
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Method:
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch, soy sauce, oyster sauce, white wine, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok over high heat, add vegetable oil and sauté the beef until browned. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add bell peppers and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet with the peppers, then pour in the sauce mixture. Stir-fry until the sauce has thickened and evenly coats the beef and peppers.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot and garnish with toasted sesame seeds.
