Bread at Monsieur Cuisine

Ingredients:

  • 500g All-purpose flour
  • 10g Salt
  • 15g Sugar
  • 7g Active Dry Yeast
  • 50g Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 300ml Warm water

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add the all-purpose flour, salt and sugar. Mix well and create a well in the middle.
  2. Into the well, add the active dry yeast, softened butter, and warm water. Mix all of the ingredients together.
  3. Knead the dough using a dough hook attached to the Monsieur Cuisine for 5-6 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Add some additional flour if the dough is sticky. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes until it doubles in volume.
  5. Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F. Grease a baking tray and sprinkle some flour on it.
  6. Punch down the dough, knead it again for a few minutes and place it onto the greased baking tray. Shape the dough as desired.
  7. Cover the baking tray loosely with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise again for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Use a sharp knife to make a few slashes on top of the dough. This will allow the steam to release during the baking process and will give the bread a beautiful shape.
  9. Bake the bread for 30-40 minutes until it is golden brown. Ensure that the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom area. Let the bread cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

This recipe delivers a delicious and fluffy bread which is perfect for sandwiches, toast, and so much more.
