Camembert Pasta Gratin Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500g pasta
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves of garlic minced
  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups of milk
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 400g camembert cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the packaging. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  4. Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add flour to the mixture and stir for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Gradually pour in the milk while whisking constantly.
  7. Add basil, oregano, salt and pepper and cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Add grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce and stir until melted.
  9. Cut the Camembert cheese into small cubes.
  10. Combine the pasta, the cheese sauce, and the camembert cubes in a large bowl.
  11. Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish.
  12. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown.
