Chicken Tacos Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 taco shells
  • Taco toppings of your choice, such as shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, salsa, and/or sour cream

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and rub the spice mixture all over it.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Use a fork to shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  7. Meanwhile, heat the taco shells in the oven according to package directions.
  8. Assemble the tacos by filling each shell with some of the shredded chicken and your desired toppings.
