Chocolate Cake with Pears and Walnuts
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 pears, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan and dust with flour.

- Add the vegetable oil, eggs, milk and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Add the chopped pears and chopped walnuts. Stir to combine.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for about 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
