Coffee Semifreddo Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 3/4 cups heavy whipped cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and whisk continuously until the sugar dissolves and the mixture starts to thicken, about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and whisk in the coffee.

  8. To serve, run a knife along the edges of the semifreddo, then use the parchment paper to lift it out of the loaf pan. Slice and serve with whipped cream and grated chocolate on top.
