Cream Of Leek Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 large leeks, white and light green parts only, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups of chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced leeks and sauté it until they are softened for 10-15 minutes

  7. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Simmer the soup until heated all the way through.
  9. Serve hot with bread or crackers.
