Creme Brulee Tart Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 unbaked 9 inch pie crust
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar for caramelizing
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Press pie crust into a 9 inch tart pan. Place in freezer while making the filling.
- In a medium saucepan, heat cream over medium heat until it begins to steam. Remove from heat.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolks until well combined.
- Slowly pour hot cream into egg mixture while whisking continuously.

- Just before serving, sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar evenly over the top of the tart.
- Using a kitchen torch, carefully caramelize the sugar on top until it is golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool for a minute or two, then slice and serve.
