Crispy Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. fresh mushrooms
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions:

  1. Clean the mushrooms and slice them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.
  4. In a third shallow dish, place the breadcrumbs.
  5. Coat each mushroom piece with flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  6. Dip in the beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  7. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  8. Place the coated mushroom pieces into the frying pan, without overcrowding.
  9. Cook until they turn golden brown, flipping once or twice, for about 3-5 minutes.
  10. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil before serving.
