Danette Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Danette chocolate pudding
  • 1 ½ cups warm water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Break the eggs in and add the vegetable oil. Mix until well combined.
  4. Add the Danette chocolate pudding along with warm water to the mixture and whisk well.
  5. Transfer the batter to the greased cake pan and bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, your Danette cake is ready.
  7. Remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  8. When cool, transfer the cake from the pan onto a cooling rack and let it cool completely.
