Danette Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup Danette chocolate pudding
- 1 ½ cups warm water
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Break the eggs in and add the vegetable oil. Mix until well combined.
- Add the Danette chocolate pudding along with warm water to the mixture and whisk well.
- Transfer the batter to the greased cake pan and bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
- Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, your Danette cake is ready.
- Remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
- When cool, transfer the cake from the pan onto a cooling rack and let it cool completely.
