Dried Fruit Condiment

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup dried apricots
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped dried figs
  • 1/2 cup chopped dates
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine apricots, cranberries, raisins, figs, dates, almonds, and walnuts.
  4. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Mix well.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar and apple cider vinegar.
  7. Pour the brown sugar mixture over the fruit and nut mixture.
  8. Mix well.
  9. Spread the mixture on the prepared baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the mixture is slightly browned and caramelized.
  11. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
  12. Break the mixture into small pieces.
  13. Store in an airtight container.
