Apple Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 double pie crust recipe
- 6 cups thinly sliced, peeled, and cored apples (about 6 medium apples)
- 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Make the pie crust, divide it in two disks, wrap them individually in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.

- Roll out the second disk, cut into strips, and make a lattice pattern on top of the apples. Trim the edges.
- Brush the top with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Let cool for at least 2 hours before serving.
