Fresh pear tart

Fresh Pear Tart Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 refrigerated pie crust
  • 4-5 ripe pears, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup chilled unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pie crust and place it on top of the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Add the sliced pears to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the flour mixture. Arrange the pears on top of the pie crust in a circular pattern, leaving about 1 inch of crust around the edges.
  5. Dot the top of the pears with the chilled butter and fold the exposed crust over the pears, pinching any folds together to prevent leakage.
  6. Bake the pear tart for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown. Let the tart cool on the baking sheet for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Verdict:

This pear tart is a delicious and elegant dessert that perfectly highlights the flavors of fresh, ripe pears. The combination of cinnamon and nutmeg with the sweet pears gives this dish a warm and cozy taste that will make it a new favorite for sure.
