Fruit Leather Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of chopped fresh fruit (can be a mixture such as berry blend, apple, and pear)
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1-2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your dehydrator to 135°F.
  2. Add your chopped fruit, water, and sweetener (if using) to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
  3. Line your dehydrator trays with parchment paper or plastic wrap.
  4. Pour the fruit mixture onto the lined trays, spreading it out evenly with a spatula or spoon. Make sure it is about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Place trays in the dehydrator for 7-8 hours, or until the fruit leather is no longer sticky and can be peeled off of the parchment paper/plastic wrap easily.
  6. Remove from the dehydrator and let cool to room temperature.
  7. Using a sharp knife or kitchen scissors, cut the fruit leather into desired shapes and sizes.
  8. Store in an airtight container or plastic bag for up to 2-3 weeks.
