Genoise with Companion Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1/4 cup apricot jam
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
- 1/2 cup blueberries
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9 inch cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.

- Brush the companion mixture over the top of the cake.
- Arrange the strawberries and blueberries over the top of the cake.
