Ham and Mushroom Omelet Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 slices of ham, chopped
- 4 button mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- In a small bowl, beat together eggs, milk, salt and pepper
- Melt butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat
- Add mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for 2 minutes or until they are lightly browned
- Add ham and cook for an additional 2 minutes
- Pour the egg mixture into the skillet. Using a spatula, gently lift edges of omelet and allow uncooked eggs to flow to the bottom of the skillet
- Once the omelet is almost set, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top
- Using a spatula, fold the omelet in half and cook for another 1-2 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the eggs are cooked to your liking
- Slide the omelet onto a plate and serve hot
