Ham-mushroom Tart

This savory tart is perfect for any meal of the day. It combines the richness of ham and cheese with the earthy flavor of mushrooms all in a buttery crust.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1/2 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch tart pan and press to fit the bottom and sides.
  3. Sprinkle the diced ham evenly over the bottom of the crust.
  4. Top ham with the sliced mushrooms and shredded Gruyere cheese.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, eggs, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the ham, mushrooms, and cheese.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before removing from pan and slicing.
