Honey-Cinnamon Apple Tian Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 6 apples, cored and sliced thin
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with honey, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well-coated.
  3. Transfer the apple mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it in an even layer.
  4. Dot the top with pieces of butter.
  5. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the apples are soft and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let the tian cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve the Honey-Cinnamon Apple Tian warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top for a delicious dessert. It can also be served as a side dish with roasted meats or poultry.
