Lemon and Orange Iced Puffs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange zest
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, chilled
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine water, butter, and salt in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add flour, stirring constantly, until mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Add eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each addition until dough is smooth and shiny.

  10. Beat heavy cream with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
  11. Split cooled puffs in half and fill each with lemon and orange filling. Pipe or spoon whipped cream on top and dust with powdered sugar.
