Linguine pasta with prawns, creamy garlic sauce, smoked paprika and lemon

Linguine Pasta with Prawns

Ingredients

  • 400g linguine pasta
  • 500g raw prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the prawns to the skillet and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Be careful not to overcook the prawns as they will become tough.
  4. Remove the prawns from the skillet and set aside.
  5. To the same skillet, add the heavy cream and smoked paprika. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  6. Let the sauce simmer for about 3-5 minutes, or until it thickens slightly, stirring occasionally.
  7. Return the prawns to the skillet and add the cooked linguine pasta. Toss everything together until well combined.
  8. Squeeze the lemon juice over the pasta and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
