Linguine Pasta with Prawns
Ingredients
- 400g linguine pasta
- 500g raw prawns, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
- 1 lemon, juiced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the prawns to the skillet and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Be careful not to overcook the prawns as they will become tough.
- Remove the prawns from the skillet and set aside.
- To the same skillet, add the heavy cream and smoked paprika. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
- Let the sauce simmer for about 3-5 minutes, or until it thickens slightly, stirring occasionally.
- Return the prawns to the skillet and add the cooked linguine pasta. Toss everything together until well combined.
- Squeeze the lemon juice over the pasta and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
