Meat and Potato Pie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain off any excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened.
  4. Add cubed potatoes, salt, pepper, paprika, and butter to the skillet. Cook until potatoes are tender.
  5. In a measuring cup or small bowl, whisk together beef broth and all-purpose flour until smooth. Pour mixture into the skillet.
  6. Cook until mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
  7. Pour mixture into a pie dish.
  8. Place pie crust on top of the mixture and crimp edges to seal.
  9. Cut a few slits in the top of the pie crust to allow steam to escape.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  11. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
