Mini lobster gratin

Mini Lobster Gratin Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb cooked lobster meat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a mini muffin tin with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and parsley.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour until smooth and cook for 1-2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk and continue to cook, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Add the garlic powder, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper and whisk to combine.
  5. Add the cooked lobster meat to the sauce and stir to coat.
  6. Spoon the lobster mixture into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  7. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the top of each lobster-filled cavity.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the gratins are heated through.
  9. Let cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before carefully removing with a spoon or knife. Serve warm.
