Mirabelle Plum Crumble Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds Mirabelle plums, halved and pitted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) degrees.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine Mirabelle plums, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
- In another bowl, mix together flour, oats and sugar.
- Add chilled butter and work it into the flour mixture, until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Spread the fruit mixture in a baking dish and sprinkle the crumb mixture over it.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the fruit is cooked through and the crumble is golden brown and crispy on top.
- Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
