Mirabelle Plum Crumble Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds Mirabelle plums, halved and pitted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) degrees.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine Mirabelle plums, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix together flour, oats and sugar.
  4. Add chilled butter and work it into the flour mixture, until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Spread the fruit mixture in a baking dish and sprinkle the crumb mixture over it.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the fruit is cooked through and the crumble is golden brown and crispy on top.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
