Mushroom Puffs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup of sliced mushrooms
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, sauté mushrooms, onion and garlic until tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add dried thyme, salt, and black pepper, and continue to sautee for another minute.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into 9 equal squares.
  5. Divide the mushroom mixture evenly among each puff pastry square.
  6. Take two opposite corners of each square and bring them together in the center. Press the edges together to seal the puff.
  7. Place the mushroom puffs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the puff with beaten egg and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
