My grandmother's perfect cookies: crispy and melting

My Grandmother’s Perfect Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together in a large bowl until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or a spoon, drop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Verdict:

These cookies are absolutely delicious – crisply on the outside, yet meltingly soft and chewy on the inside.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve these cookies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra decadent treat, or simply enjoy them with a cold glass of milk.
