My Grandmother’s Perfect Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together in a large bowl until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop or a spoon, drop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Verdict:
These cookies are absolutely delicious – crisply on the outside, yet meltingly soft and chewy on the inside.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve these cookies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra decadent treat, or simply enjoy them with a cold glass of milk.
