Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 medium apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup apricot preserves
  • 1 tablespoon Calvados (apple brandy)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to fit the baking sheet. Transfer the pastry to the baking sheet and prick the bottom with a fork.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  4. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the apples and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until the apples are softened. Remove from the heat and let cool.
