Orange Glazed Pork Tenderloin Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pork tenderloin (about 1 lb)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Orange slices for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the pork tenderloin with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork tenderloin and brown on all sides, about 5 minutes in total.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together orange juice, honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
  5. Transfer the pork tenderloin to a baking dish and pour the orange juice mixture over the pork. Cover the dish with foil.
  6. Bake the pork for 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
  7. Remove the foil from the baking dish. Bake for another 10-15 minutes, until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  8. Remove the pork from the baking dish and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice the pork tenderloin against the grain into 1/4 inch thick slices.
  9. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and water. Add the mixture to the baking dish with the remaining glaze. Cook for a few minutes over medium heat until the glaze has thickened.
  10. Arrange the sliced pork on a serving platter and spoon some of the glaze over it. Serve hot, garnished with orange slices if desired.

Verdict:

The combination of orange juice, honey, and soy sauce creates a sweet and tangy glaze that perfectly complements the savory pork tenderloin. This recipe is easy to prepare and makes a delicious main dish for any occasion.
