Pink Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup strawberry puree

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

  6. In a small bowl, mix strawberry puree and a few drops of pink food coloring.
  7. Take out a cup of the prepared batter and add the strawberry mixture. Stir well.
  8. Pour half of the plain batter into the prepared pan. Spoon the pink batter on top. Add the remaining plain batter to the top.
  9. Use a butter knife to make swirls throughout the batter for a marbled effect.
  10. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. Cool the cake completely in the pan before removing and slicing into serving portions.
