Plum Pie Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 6 cups sliced, pitted plums
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the pre-made pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced plums, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well until the plums are evenly coated.
- Spoon the plum mixture into the prepared pie crust, distributing evenly.
- Dot the top of the plum mixture with small pieces of butter.
- Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Remove the pie from the oven and cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Brush the top of the pie with the beaten egg to give it a glossy finish.
