Plum Crumble Recipe
Ingredients:
- 8-10 ripe plums, pitted and sliced
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed and chilled
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the chilled butter cubes and use a pastry blender or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Set aside.
- In a 9-inch baking dish, arrange the sliced plums in an even layer.
- Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the plums, making sure to cover them completely.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve the warm plum crumble with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top for a delicious dessert. This recipe can also be made with other stone fruit, such as peaches or nectarines.
