Prawn Tagliatelle Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound tagliatelle pasta
- 1 pound prawns, peeled and deveined
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the tagliatelle pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Add the prawns to the skillet, season with salt and pepper to taste, and cook until pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in the white wine and stir, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook until the wine is reduced by half.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the prawn mixture. If the pasta seems dry, add a splash of pasta water to loosen the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
