Prawns Marinated in Onions

Ingredients:

  • 500g prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the prawns, onion, garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper.
  2. Cover the bowl with cling film and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
  3. Preheat a grill or barbecue to medium high heat.
  4. Skewer the prawns onto wooden or metal skewers.
  5. Brush the skewered prawns with any remaining marinade and place on the grill.
  6. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until the prawns are pink and cooked through.
  7. Serve immediately.
