Quick Gratin Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs of potatoes, peeled and sliced into thin rounds
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of grated gruyere cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons of butter
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
- Butter a baking dish (8×8 inches or similar dimensions).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Add half of the grated cheese and mix well.
- Arrange half of the sliced potatoes in the buttered baking dish.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the layer of potatoes.
- Repeat steps 4-5 with the remaining potatoes and cream mixture.
- Top the potatoes with the remaining grated cheese and dot with little pieces of butter.
- Bake the gratin for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbling. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serve this delicious quick gratin as a side dish to roasted or grilled meats, or enjoy it by itself as a comforting and indulgent meal. Pair with a glass of white wine to elevate the dining experience.
