Shrimp Lasagna Recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 Lasagna noodles
- 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cups Marinara sauce
- 1 cup Ricotta cheese
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 cup Fresh basil, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the egg. Add in the ricotta cheese, salt, pepper, and basil. Mix until well combined.
- In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Place 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles. Top with half of the shrimp and a third of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of noodles, topped with the remaining sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the lasagna cool for at least 5 minutes before cutting into it.
