Strawberry and Apple Crumble Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 cups apples, peeled and chopped
- 2 cups strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 5 tbsp cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the chopped apples, halved strawberries, sugar, and cinnamon together.
- Pour the fruit mixture into a 9-inch square baking dish
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt together until well combined
- Add in the cold butter pieces and use a fork to blend in the butter with the flour mixture until the mixture forms a coarse crumbly texture
- Sprinkle the crumb mixture evenly over the fruit mixture in the baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 to 50 minutes until the crumble topping is golden brown and the fruit underneath is bubbling
- Let the crumble cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve the warm Strawberry and Apple Crumble with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top to add more flavour. The dish serves 6 to 8 people and is perfect for a cozy dessert on a chilly night. Enjoy!
