Strawberry coulis

Strawberry Coulis Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries. Cut them into small pieces.
  2. In a medium-sized saucepan, add the strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice and stir.
  3. Set the saucepan over medium heat and cook the strawberries, stirring occasionally, until they release their juices.
  4. Use a blender or an immersion blender to puree the strawberries until the mixture is smooth.
  5. If you find the coulis too thick, you can strain it with a fine-mesh strainer to remove the seeds.
  6. Let the coulis cool to room temperature, then transfer it to a jar and refrigerate until ready to serve.
