Stuffed Peppers Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut off the tops of the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the ground beef or turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces.
  6. Add the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
  7. Stuff the mixture into the bell peppers and place them in a baking dish.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the peppers.
  10. Bake for another 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
