Stuffed Peppers Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 large bell peppers
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut off the tops of the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef or turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces.
- Add the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
- Stuff the mixture into the bell peppers and place them in a baking dish.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the peppers.
- Bake for another 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
