The fall burger

The Fall Burger Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • Lettuce, tomato, and pickles (optional toppings)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with your hands to combine all the ingredients.
  2. Form the mixture into four patties, making sure each patty is evenly sized and has a slight indentation in the center to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
  3. Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet and cook them for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through to your liking.
  4. Place the burger buns on the grill or skillet and lightly toast them for about 1-2 minutes.
  5. When the burgers are almost done cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese and let it melt for about 1 minute.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bottom half of the bun, followed by lettuce, tomato, pickles, and any other toppings you desire. Place the top half of the bun on top.
  7. Serve the fall burgers hot with your favorite sides, such as sweet potato fries or roasted vegetables.

Verdict:

The Fall Burger is a delicious twist on the classic burger, with the addition of pumpkin puree and warm spices that give it a cozy fall flavor. The pumpkin makes the burger extra moist and adds a subtle sweetness that pairs perfectly with the savory beef and cheese. Serve it at your next autumn cookout or as a hearty weeknight meal.

Serving Suggestions:

For a complete fall-themed meal, serve the burgers with a side of sweet potato fries or roasted butternut squash. You can also swap out the regular burger buns for pumpkin buns for an extra dose of autumnal goodness. Don’t forget to wash everything down with a glass of apple cider or pumpkin spice latte!
